Ciudadela Bedecked for Barcelona Fashion Week
Date of publication: 28/02/2008( De Boer ) Barcelona is getting ready for the 2nd edition of the Barcelona Fashion Week, scheduled to be held at the Parc de la Ciutadella from 5-7 March 2008. De Boer will be supplying the temporary structures for one the city’s foremost fashion shows, which will take place at this magical venue designed by the Fontsere y Gaudi brothers.
Once again, De Boer has demonstrated its professional know-how by providing one of Spain’s most prestigious events with temporary accommodation solutions.
Covering the fashion show After the discontinuation of the Gaudi Fashion Show, the directorate general of 080 (in allusion to the city’s postal code) is now run by DemoFashion and Vicenз Mustaros, with the support of the Catalonian regional government and Barcelona City Council, whose aim is to make Barcelona the benchmark of independent fashion. Chosen by an international jury, a number of designers will be presenting their collections at the show, featuring Thiery Mugler, among others.
For such a special occasion, De Boer will assemble a 15×20m Delta , housing the catwalk. In addition, there will be a 5×32m Alu Party housing the catering service and a boutique, and a 10×40m Alu Hall serving as a backstage area for the models. With this third event in 2008, De Boer Spain has consolidated its position as one of the country’s leading suppliers of temporary housing solutions for corporate events.
