Pakistani-made girl s clothing recalled
WASHINGTON, Dec. 6 (UPI) — The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of Basic Editions-brand girls’ clothing sets due to an entrapment or entanglement hazard. Approximately 13,000 clothing sets manufactured in Pakistan were sold nationwide at Kmart stores. The two-piece clothing sets include olive-colored knit pants with a fully-tunneled waist drawstring and a pink short-sleeved top with necktie.
Officials said the pants have drawstrings at the waist that are longer than the maximum length mandated in CPSC guidelines, posing a hazard to children. Consumers, advised to remove the drawstrings to eliminate the hazard, can obtain additional recall information from Kmart at 800-659-7026. 2007 United Press International. All Rights Reserved.
