Kanye West Clarifies Fashion Show Comment

Kanye West has clarified a comment he made about not gaining entrance to a Paris fashion show for designer Nicholas Ghesquirere’s ‘Balenciaga’ range , saying that anyone saying something negative has it wrong . The Grammy Award- winning rapper was quoted by the New York Times as saying, We didn’t get a ticket for Balenciaga. I understand it. I get a lot of attention and, you know, sometimes the designers don’t want anything taking the focus off the show.

Paris fashion designers disregard recession fears in vibrant shows

French label Christian Dior set the tone with an ode to the carefree 1960s, sending out fur coats and swinging skirt suits fit for a latter-day Mrs. Robinson. To the Simon and Garfunkel song of the same name, models tripped out in boxy cropped jackets and above-the-knee skirts in tangy shades of orange, lime and fuchsia. Guests including “Cashmere Mafia” star Lucy Liu watched the parade, set in a tent in the Tuileries gardens against a spectacular set of cascading water.

Windows on spring Fashion comes alive for season with bold colors and designs

Spring fashion isn’t going to disappoint, either. “I think women are so sick of winter,” said Karen Marquis , owner of Kokopelli in Northpark Mall. “We’ve had a lot of people in buying for vacations and weddings, and I think they’re ready for spring.” Spring clothes come alive in vivid colors such as Kelly green, yellow, tangerine and cobalt blue, fuchsia and bold prints that swing from floral to global and geometric to art-inspired.

Award winning designer sings praises of wool

LOCAL woman Fiona Kliendienst, owner of Tuscan Elegance, took out the professional section at The Australian Woll Fashion Awards with a wedding dress that she had designed for a friend. Mrs Kliendiest has been committed for a long time to working with wool, and was last year named Rural Woman of the Year for her efforts in the development of fashion utilising wool.

Clinton needs to dress sexy

This hasn’t really proved to be to her advantage. Hillary hasn’t gained supporters by wearing unflattering pantsuits, and it wouldn’t kill her to get a better stylist (no offense, Chelsea). I may be a somewhat superficial person who thinks that clothing matters. However, I am not the only one to have noticed her lack of fashion sense despite unlimited resources.

Women sought in connection with ID theft investigation

Police say two female suspects obtained the credit card number of a female victim from the Cincinnati area. They used the credit card number to make over $1,000 in purchases from Macy’s in Mentor on February 23. Police say over the course of 2 days, they opened new credit card accounts in the name of the victim at Sears, Levin Furniture and Walmart, charging over $10,000 against the victim’s name. Illegal transactions are known to have also occurred in the Akron/Canton area.

Police Officer Crashes Into Local Clothing Store

Reported by: Becky Freemal A local women’s clothing store found itself in the middle of a crash investigation after an Amberly Village officer slammed his squad car into the store’s display window. Amberley Village Chief Monahan said officer, James Drake, broke his left arm and is expected to be fine. Plum Diore, the women’s clothing store at the corner of Ridge and Montgomery road in Pleasant Ridge will have a boarded up window for about a week until a new frame and glass is ordered.
