Billings owned clothing store closing shop
A women s clothing store that s called Billings home for 67 years has officially closed up shop. Aileen s clothing store in west Billings made its last sale Saturday. John and Aileen Bohlinger opened the business in Bozeman in 1935, but made the move to Billings in 1940, at one point operating out of the Rimrock Mall. The business was bought by the couple s son and now Lieutenant Governor John Bohlinger, in the early 60 s. Since 1992 two of Bohlinger s daughters took over the business.
Jan Osbourne and JoLynn Sommers are now calling it quits and moving on to other things. They say the decision to close was difficult, but the right decision.
