According to a press release from the Consumer Product Safety Commission , there have been three items of children’s clothing recalled due to a possible hazard from the drawstrings on the clothing.

These recalled products include: Basic Editions-brand girls’ clothing sets Approximately 13,000 Basic Editions brand girls’ clothing sets, manufactured in Pakistan and distributed by Millennium Apparel Group, of New York, N.Y., were sold at Kmart stores nationwide during the month of July 2007. Each set sold for about $17. This two-piece clothing set has olive-colored knit pants with a fully-tunneled waist drawstring. The second piece of the set is a pink short-sleeved top with necktie.

It was sold in girls’ sizes : 4/5, 6/6X, 7/8, and 10/12. The reason for the recall is that the pants have a drawstring at the waist, posing an entrapment or entanglement hazard to children.
