Wedding dress day for arson hit preschool Feb 21 2008 By Jenny Waddington

She said: “My daughter has been going to the pre-school for two years and she was really upset when they lost all their toys. “I decided to help raise money to replace them and thought it would be a bit different to dress in my wedding dress and get people to sponsor me. “I was a little upset when I put it on.

It is the first time in four years that I have worn the dress and I had real trouble doing it up.” The first time Michelle wore the dress was when she married husband Alistair at Coventry Register Office in Cheylesmore Manor House, Manor House Drive, in August 2004. But yesterday, Michelle, who works as a shop assistant at Shoe Zone in Bedworth, got the ivory satin number out of the closet for a second time, to help cheer up the unhappy Coventry tots.

The couple’s four-year-old daughter, Megan, is one of many children at the Foleshill pre-school to have been devastated by the attack.
