Love, American-Style

Can you bottle love? American Beauty says it wanted to capture the exhilarating rush of being in love when it created Beloved , a new fragrance for romantics. The perfume sports a floral heart of tuberose, orange flower and purple orris mixed with a burst of apricot blossom and calla lilies. The scent is rounded out by woods (cottonwood and sandalwood), vetiver and amber. American Beauty’s Beloved ($39.50 for perfume spray) is available beginning this month at Kohl’s stores and www.kohls.com .

Cor Values How much have you ever paid for a bar of facial soap? Before you blanch at the thought of a $125 bar, consider the benefits of Cor , a facial soap made by Plank (a lifestyle and yoga accessories brand) that is made with silver, which the company says is an effective antibacterial and cell-repairing agent. The soap cleanses and polishes the skin and promises to even out skin tone and balance oil levels.

Besides silver, the soap is also formulated with collagen, chitosan (a natural fiber that promotes cellular regeneration) and sericin (a protein that locks in moisture and provides sun protection). Cor, $125, will last six months. It’s available at www.plankdesigns.com . Monkey Business One of spring’s fashion stories is color. Bright colors in accessories. Bright details. Bright prints.

Kipling is on trend for the new season with a collection called G*rilla Girlz which features funky prints (like this “Jungle Fruit” print), wild colors and trims and, naturally, a monkey key chain, a standard Kipling touch. The G*rilla Girlz collection, $38 to $78, is available at select Macy’s stores.
